The Holy Spirit Moves (written 2021)

I have been amazed in the past few years (and especially in the last few months) how often God brings encouragement and His precious light into my life at exactly the right moment.

Prior to the COVID pandemic, as I sought to hear God speaking to me more, He brought more of His people into my life. Much of the time it was Christian coworkers sharing a Bible verse at exactly the right moment or confirmation of what I was hearing in the Spirit like Your identity is in Christ not your employment. Those were joyful epiphanies of how glorious our God is in truth.

Recently I was traveling for family and met folks (complete strangers by this world's standards) with whom I was connected through God's Holy Spirit; and these folks without prompting or much conversation repeated the message I had been hearing in the Spirit - we are nothing and completely empty without Jehovah. Oh what a glorious feeling to be so connected to light and love to hear the words out loud that the Holy Spirit places in your heart and on your mind.

These special moments remind me of God's omnipotence, His complete control over every detail of our lives. His love for us and His grace and mercies. Oh what a wonderful and all powerful God we serve who loves us so that He give us these very detailed and special moments in life to be so connected by His Holy Spirit. What grace that Almighty God sends a whisper to us and then helps us to hear by speaking it out loud through another believer.

Remember God is in the details and His Holy Spirit is always with you. How do you hear? Seek Him in His Word and pray. God hears and answers in His way. Sometimes it's these beautiful gifts of insight and support from other believers.
